    Head Of Business Development

    The role:

    • Someone who can identify commercial opportunities for us and our enterprise customers to upsell and cross sell additional products to their consumer customer bases.
    • Someone who can convince customers of the overall value proposition and conclude agreements at maximum long-term margin for the company.
    • Someone who can use performance marketing and demand creation strategies to identify and qualify potential clients.
    • Someone who wants to embark on a boundary destroying adventure!

    The detail: 

    Sales Cycle Management

    • Develop business plans, sales strategies and business proposals for new and existing markets that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
    • Prepare action plans by individuals as well as by team for effective search of sales leads and prospects.

    New Business Development

    • Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business through networking opportunities;
    • Cold call as appropriate within a specific market or geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
    • Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network.
    • Set up meetings between client decision makers and company’s practice leaders/principals.
    • Plan approaches and pitches.
    • Participate in pricing the solution/service.
    • Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion. 

    Client Retention

    • Present new products and services and find solutions to enhance existing relationships.
    • Work with technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs.
    • Arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs. 

    Business Development Best Practice and Trends

    • Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.
    • Present to and consult with mid and senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels.
    • Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales.
    • Use knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.

    Are you this person?

    • Do you have commercial experience and an existing network with a focus on Financial Services, Telco, and/or Home Services?
    • Do you have a minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial business development and/or solution sales role with a proven track record/performance history of meeting or exceeding targets?
