Develop and execute a clear analytical vision and strategy for MPS, which is aligned with the organization's goals.
Lead and mentor a team of analytics professionals and foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and excellence within the team.
Oversee data collection, storage, and integration processes to ensure data quality, accuracy, and security.
Champion data governance practices to maintain data consistency and compliance with regulations.
Utilise advanced analytics techniques and tools to extract valuable insights from structured and unstructured data.
Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for various stakeholders.
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to provide real-time and historical data insights to key stakeholders across the organisation.
Ensure data-driven decision-making is promoted at all levels.
Drive the development and implementation of predictive and prescriptive analytics models to forecast trends, identify opportunities, and optimise business processes.
Ensure the effective communication of analytical findings through compelling data visualizations and presentations that are accessible to non-technical stakeholders.
Work closely with other departments and group companies, such as Merchandising, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Distribution, to support their analytical needs and align analytics initiatives with business objectives.
Stay up to date with the latest analytics tools, technologies, and methodologies. Evaluate and recommend suitable software and infrastructure improvements to enhance the analytics capabilities of the organisation.
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness and impact of analytics initiatives.
Regularly report on progress to the executive team and propose adjustments as needed.
This role involves designing and implementing Computer Assisted Audit Techniques (CAAT’s) to respond to audit risks, assisting in managing resources, determining data requirements, executing the data analysis and CAATs, as well as drafting and reporting of findings in written format.
Effective project management or project support to relevant projects within the Analytical function.
Follow through to ensure that personal quality and productivity standards are consistently and accurately maintained.
Plan and prioritize, demonstrating abilities to manage competing demands.
Demonstrate abilities to anticipate and manage change.

Qualifications and experience
Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or related fields.
Honours or master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or related fields.
Strong understanding of database structures, data warehousing, and data integration techniques.
Minimum 8 years’ experience in the Wholesale and Retail Industry in senior Analytics/innovation role.
PC proficient (MS office suite: word, excel, PowerPoint and outlook).
