Job Description

• We are looking for a seasoned Executive to join our Corporate Real Estate team.  You will be responsible for managing our Real Estate operations across the African continent in a sustainable manner and to drive our strategic agenda.  

The incumbent will be responsible for:

• Leading a team of competent specialists who are SME’s in their respective fields. 
• Creating added value and competitive advantage by executing the regional delivery of the continent wide CRES strategy and operating model. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will ensure that OLI’s are achieved and monitored, ensuring the financial aspects of the estates are effectively managed, providing excellent customer service and achieving customer satisfaction across all service lines:
• Location – “where we locate our workforce and why”
• Workforce Planning – “the required size, type and quality of our workforce”
• Real Estate – “the right property portfolio at the right price at the right time”
• Facilities management
• Engineering
• Property Risk, Health & Safety
• Partnering with Security, BCM

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Engage with stakeholders such as the Absa Board, Board sub committees and the Absa Group Exco
• Forge trusted relationships with our Strategic Suppliers and Key Vendors
• Supply Chain Management
• Strategic Business Management
• Inspirational People Management
• Driving flawless regional (Pan African) execution across the portfolio
• Facilities Management with a major focus on Occupational Health & Safety.
• Optimize real estate portfolio including the upgrading of sites

Requirements:

• >7yrs Proven Leadership experience in Finance/Engineering/Commercial
• CRES and Facilities management experience
• Capital projects and construction experience
• Managing a large P&L
• Stakeholder engagement at Group Exco and Board level
• Supply Chain Management

Education
