Head of Finance SA at Salt South Africa

Overview:

• Our client is looking for a Head of Finance to take responsibility for the Group’s finance function. The role will oversee financial operations, reporting, tax, compliance, budgeting and forecasting, while providing financial guidance to the executive team and Board.
• The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing the finance team, maintaining strong financial controls and supporting the Group with capital, investment and strategic financial activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the finance function.
• Manage financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
• Oversee tax affairs, regulatory requirements and external audits.
• Manage payments, costs, cash flow and the Group’s capital structure.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to senior management and the Board.
• Oversee internal controls, risk management and corporate governance.
• Manage and develop the finance team.
• Maintain relationships with investors, banks, regulators, auditors and other financial stakeholders.
• Support financial due diligence and other strategic transactions where required.

Requirements:

• CA(SA) qualification is essential.
• 5+ years’ experience in a financial management role.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, tax and regulatory requirements.
• Experience within financial services or banking is advantageous.
• Experience working with international business partners.
• Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
