What you’ll be doing

Finance Transformation

• Design and execute finance transformation strategies aligned with business goals.
• Lead initiatives to enhance financial performance, reduce operational costs, and improve agility.
• Drive cultural and operational change across the finance function.

Finance Systems Oversight

• Oversee the implementation, integration, and optimization of finance systems, including ERP, financial planning, and analytics platforms.
• Ensure systems are scalable, secure, and aligned with evolving business needs.
• Collaborate with IT and vendors to ensure successful system delivery and adoption.

Process Optimization & Cost Reduction

• Identify and implement opportunities to streamline and automate finance processes.
• Apply methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen to eliminate inefficiencies and enhance productivity.
• Monitor and report on cost-saving initiatives and process improvements.

Team Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance transformation team.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and innovation.
• Provide coaching, career development, and succession planning.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, operations, HR, and business units.
• Ensure alignment and successful execution of transformation initiatives.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on finance systems and process strategy.

Financial Planning & Analysis

• Develop and maintain robust financial models, forecasts, and analytical tools.
• Provide strategic insights and scenario analysis to support executive decision-making.
• Enhance the organization’s financial planning and performance management capabilities.

Risk & Compliance Management

• Proactively identify financial and operational risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, internal controls, and audit requirements.
• Maintain strong governance over financial data and reporting processes.

Data Governance & Analytics

• Establish and enforce data governance standards across finance systems.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility for reporting and analytics.
• Promote a data-driven culture within the finance function.

Digital Transformation & Automation

• Lead the adoption of digital tools and technologies such as RPA, AI, and advanced analytics.
• Drive automation of routine finance tasks to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in digital finance.

Essential skills you’ll bring to the table

• Minimum 10 years in finance, with a strong focus on transformation, systems implementation, and process optimization
• In-depth knowledge of ERP systems, financial planning tools, and data analytics platforms
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive strategic outcomes
• CA(SA), ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification
• Strong financial modelling and forecasting capabilities
