As Head of Investment Operations, you will manage the day-to-day operations in South Africa, the United Kingdom and Ireland. This will require you to work closely with the other members of the global investment, operations, sales, software development and support teams. Given the rapid rate of growth of our client’s company, you would be expected to participate in discussions regarding the viability of offering new products and services or existing propositions via new partners, as well as represent the Investment Operations department in internal business meetings and contribute to the development of the firm’s investment philosophy and strategic initiatives.
Requirements:
Relevant tertiary qualification in finance, economics or a related field (CA(SA)/CFA/IMF - advantageous)
6 – 10 years of proven experience in investment management, private equity or corporate finance
Strong intellect with a high level of commercial and financial acumen as well as an understanding of investments and financial planning
Good interpersonal skills and the change management skills to implement process changes internally as well as through our network of financial advisers and our investment platform partners
Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills
Strategic thinker with a strong attention to detail
The ability to review and ratify legal contracts
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead staff members effectively
