    Head Of Marketing

    • Using Customer insights and Market Intelligence data, design/review, implement, steer and lead Marketing Strategy and Execution activities across Sub-Saharan African Markets to enable delivery of AH Commercial Objectives.
    • Accountable for Product Portfolio optimization, pipeline market enablement and value creation.
    • Responsible for Customer and Channel communication strategies including Product/Brand Value Proposition.
    • Recruit, lead & develop diverse team of VSA’s and Specie Managers, whilst enabling a ‘Customer Focus’ mindset.
    • As part of the AH Leadership Team, contribute to overall Strategy development and business steering.

    Key Tasks and Responsibilities

    • Bring focus to complex Portfolio working with ambiguous data sets.
    • As owner of P & I budget, accountable for ensuring all associated spend is executed based on solid ROI decision points.
    • Direct Research (primary and/or secondary) to bring a deep understanding of Customer needs, behavior, demographics, etc. to the Organisation and lead the development of associated Marketing Strategies to leverage our Portfolio and Pipeline value, incl. KOL strategies.
    • Balance P & I investments to ensure delivery of annual Commercial targets whilst also setting the foundations for achievement of future growth targets.
    • Develop and direct the execution of mid to long term strategies that drive Brand value creation and drive achievement of profitability targets.
    • Accountable for Marketing Excellence execution within SSA, ensuring alignment with global directives in addition to being the owner of the Digital Agenda for AH.
    • Develop and roll out Value Propositions (all Brands) which will form the cornerstone of Marketing and Sales execution strategies.
    • Develop, coach and lead the Marketing Team to ensure that the team exceeds their individual and team objectives.
    • Build, integrate and continuously leverage the value of VSA’s within Marketing and Sales execution.
    • Be a role model in bringing high levels of integrity to all relationships and transactions. 

     

    Experience & Qualifications

    • University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Veterinary Science, Agronomy or equivalent professional education. MBA or equivalent, preferred.
    • 8 – 10 years senior manager experience in Marketing & Sales related positions.
    • Strategic mindset and experience in developing and executing strategic plans.
    • High level of social competence and ability to work successfully in frequently changing and cross cultural teams.
    • Self confidence in presentations and dealings with hierarchy, peers and customers
    • Fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans.
