You will take ownership of all aspects of the firm’s sustainable procurement strategy that relate to social or governance topics in a sustainable supply chain.
You will gather and analyze information, formulate and test hypotheses, develop recommendations, syndicate recommendations with stakeholders and drive implementation of solutions. This will include creatively driving and implementing the strategy to advance responsible buying tailored to the context of McKinsey’s supply chain and proactively acting on emerging trends and industry leading practices by staying on top of and driving cutting edge thinking in the field (through participation in relevant convening organizations), ensuring McKinsey’s program is best-in class.
You will bring extensive subject matter expertise in the fields of human rights, business ethics, and anti-corruption in supply chains, including familiarity with relevant standards, benchmarks, convening organizations, stakeholders, reporting channels (GRI, Ecovadis, CDP), and frameworks (UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, UN Global Compact, Corporate Human Rights Benchmark).
Drawing on your expertise, you will design and implement best-practice approaches to ensure that risks and impacts related to human rights, business ethics, anti-corruption, and similar social and governance topics across McKinsey’s supply chain are identified, prioritized, and addressed.
You will identify relevant metrics and measures to meaningfully track and drive progress, providing timely and accurate commentary and statistics related to McKinsey’s responsible buying strategy in fulfilment of McKinsey’s various external disclosure and reporting requirements. You’ll contribute to and expand knowledge development initiatives that advance McKinsey’s capabilities for both internal practices and client service (authoring knowledge documents).
