Fitter at Tiger Brands

• You will be responsible for Maintaining Engineering Equipment to world class standards while providing support to the Maintenance Coordinator. You will support the team in embedding maintenance processes within the organization with the key deliverables of maintaining the Integrity of the Plant.
• You will maintain, repair and optimize plant and associated devices to ensure plant availability and product quality at minimum cost.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE:

Plant Maintenance

• Operational Support – Provide specialist support to the shift-based teams during operations. Where requested assist as a functional expert in problem solving.
  Planned Maintenance – 
• Take part in maintenance planning meetings, contributing suggestions and clarifying work required Ensure Plant availability of 95% at all times.

Governance and Compliance

• Keep up to date with the relevant legislation and best practice with a view ensuring that all relevant Tiger Brands’ policies are up-to-date and templates are compliant.
• Govern the organisational design framework and adherence to processes, policies and guidelines
  Ensure remedial actions are implemented timeously to address non-conformances.

Risk Management

• Complete and submit the departmental risk register as well as quarterly updates on risk mitigations
  Drive the ongoing monitoring, escalation and reporting on risk management issues. 
• Flag all risks and assist in finding solutions

Reporting

• Provision of accurate and timely reports to the lead in accordance with statutory requirements. Use and apply appropriate approved reporting templates.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Key Attributes and Competencies

• Minimum requirement is NTC3, with Matric maths and science
• Trade test, Analytical skills, Problem solving, high numeracy skills.
• Leadership - Owning it! Driving long-term results, Staying a step-ahead.
• Personal Effectiveness – Effective communication, Interpersonal skills, Integrity, Creativity, Continuous learning.
• Fitter Experience +5 years
• FMCG Industry Experience- 2year
• Must have Depalletizes/ Can Labeler/ Shrink Wrappers/ Palletizers experience.
