Relevant post graduate degree (Masters degree preferable), with a preference for the fields of statistics and data science
At least eight (8) years’ relevant functional experience required
Sound knowledge of statistical methods and quantitative data analysis and modelling
Key Performance Areas
To contribute to the City's data, statistics and analytics planning capability, use and application through leading and guiding on socio-economic data gathering and analysis and statistical modelling
To lead the City's statistics capability, use of statistical data and methods to support data analysis and interpretation including trends and predictions
To lead and guide the Department/Branch collection of socio-economic data through household surveys and other primary research methods, data management and related processes
To lead and manage data modelling processes to inform planning and decision making
To guide and manage urban development data analysis advice and visualisation products
To lead and manage data, statistics and analytics partnerships
To manage a small team offering technical expertise in statistical and data analytics and modelling to the City organisation
