    Head - Transaction Administration

    Job Summary

Join our Legal team as the Head Transaction Administration in a role where you will provide inspirational leadership and manage the relationships between business unit / product area and transaction administrations and ensure that all preregistration & pre-disbursement loan conditions and conditions precedent are fulfilled. The role also includes overseeing drafting standard legal agreements and security documentation in accordance with credit approvals and applicable legislative requirements ensuring correctness and alignment to governance, legislative requirements and policy.

    Job Description

    Key Accountabilities 

    • Formulate, articulate and manage strategy and deliver objectives, and effectively manages team resources, practices and costs as well as complex projects or matters 
    • Lead and manage a team of document specialists
    • Work across teams and business units to assist in Group-wide risk management and, manage the development and implementation of policy and procedure with limited direction 
    • Act as a principal legal advisor to relevant Executive committees by providing legal advice and counsel, and report to the General Counsel on all aspects of Legal Risk Management in the cluster business unit 
    • Break down silos, encouraging team cohesion and collaboration across and, display strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills 
    • Managing large portfolio of client groups and applying legal expertise to mitigate documentary risk mitigation and collateral management
    • Ensuring legal validity and enforceability of documentation (quality assurance) , fulfillment of conditions precedent, correct interpretation of credit conditions and security requirements

    Education and Experience Required

    • NQF Level 6: B Degree or equivalent
    • At least seven years exposure to legal documentation and mitigation of documentary risk
    • Legal qualification an advantage
    • People Management experience is essential


    • Postgraduate Degrees and Professional Qualifications: Law, Military Science and Security (Required)
