Health and Safety Officer - Transport Industry - PE at Hire Resolve

Key Responsibilities:

• Enforce and ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
• Promote a proactive health and safety culture among employees and subcontractors.
• Develop, draft, and implement safety policies and procedures.
• Monitor work practices to identify and address unsafe activities.
• Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and accident/incident investigations.
• Provide health and safety training sessions and conduct toolbox talks.
• Review and approve subcontractor health and safety documentation.
• Compile and submit monthly health and safety reports and statistics.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

Education: 

• Matric certificate.

Certifications: 

• SAMTRAC qualification and registration with SAIOSH as a Technical Member.

Experience: 

• Minimum of 3 years as a Health and Safety Officer.

Skills:

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective time management and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
