Housekeeper at African Echoes Recruitment

• A luxury private residence in the Cape Town region is seeking two experienced Housekeepers to join the household team.
• The successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining exceptional standards throughout a prestigious private residence that also accommodates rental guests. This role requires individuals who take pride in delivering meticulous housekeeping while maintaining professionalism, warmth, and complete discretion.
• Applications from couples are welcomed, where one partner fulfils the Housekeeper role and the other the Groundskeeper & Driver (SA000101) position.

REQUIREMENT:

• RSA ID and legal residence essential
• Previous experience in a private residence, luxury home, hotel, lodge, or guesthouse
• Laundry, ironing, and garment care experience
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Honest, reliable, and trustworthy
• Professional, discreet, and guest-focused
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Own reliable transport or comfortable using public transport

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Clean and maintain all areas of the residence to luxury standards
• Service guest accommodation and guest-ready areas
• Perform laundry, ironing, and garment care
• Follow structured housekeeping schedules and checklists
• Care for luxury furnishings, fixtures, and finishes
• Welcome and interact professionally with homeowners and guests
• Assist with additional household duties when required
• Maintain complete confidentiality and professionalism at all times

PACKAGE:

• R9,000 – R11,000 per month (DOE)
• Live-out position with the possibility of live-in for a successful couple placement
• 5–6 day work week
• Full training provided
• Start date: October 2026
