Housing Officer – Riversdale at Hessequa Municipality

Requirements:

• A relevant three year tertiary qualification in Human Settlements or Project Management 
• Valid Code B driver’s license 
• Computer literate 
• Able to communicate in two of the official languages of the Western Cape 
• Two to five years’ relevant experience, will serve as recommendation.  

Duties:  

• Coordinate  administrative  tasks  and  processes  related  to  the  sales  and  transfer  of  property  as  required  by legislation  
• Ensure  that  housing  requests,  waiting lists  and  public  housing  demand  are  captured  
• Compile  reports 
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders 
• Schedule and attend meetings 
• Handle transfers 
• Complete and capture subsidy  application  forms  
• Maintain,  manage  and  update  the  database  
• Handle  housing  contracts  
• Conduct  site inspections 
• Identify housing stock that needs to be transferred 
• Provide input on budgets 
• Handle lease agreements  
• Monitor and control informal settlements 
• Attend to complaints.
