    HR Administrator

    Job Description    

    • A new opportunity has become available for a HR Administrator that will assist with our Learnership, Recruitment, Training and Development portfolios on a 8-month fixed term contract basis till December 2026.  The HR Administrator will be responsible for the overall administration of our Learnership Program by assisting and guiding our learners who are successful for learnership placements within the business. This candidate must deal with confidential information with utmost discretion and meet high standards of integrity. Applicants will also need to be flexible and willing to handle a variety of tasks to assist and support their HR Admin and Operations team members.

    Qualifications    

    • Grade 12 Certificate
    • Preferably an administrative qualification (2 years) alternatively a qualification in HR

    Knowledge, Skills and Experience    

    • 2 years’ experience performing an administrative supportive role within a bigger department is essential | It will be advantageous if this experience was gained within a Human Resources environment
    • Learnership administration and exposure to SETA related learnership activities advantageous
    • Fluent in English (Written and Verbal)
    • Xhosa and Zulu/or any other African language verbal ability (advantageous)
    • Excellent Communication skills
    • Excellent Administration Skills
    • A strong logical thinking and analytical ability
    • Has a high energy level and is performance-driven
    • Computer Literacy and Numeracy skills
    • Excellent planning, organizing and time management skills
    • Ability to remain flexible, function under pressure and maintain a positive attitude and work performance in a variety of circumstances
    • Ability to multi-task and to deal with complexities, use initiative to solve problems
    • Ability to work independently, as well as be a team player

    Key Responsibilities    

    • Administration related to all Training and Development activities
    • Assisting with the Recruitment process, booking of interviews and screening candidates.
    • Assisting with Counselling bookings for employees 
    • Monthly reporting and any ad hoc request

    Assist with basic administration, coordination, planning and follow up of Learnerships.   These duties include and are not limited to the below:

    • Check contact sessions dates and attendance
    • Tracking travel & accommodation costs
    • Monitor time and attendance of learners 
    • Check progress reports to ensure all Warriors complete their unit standards 
    • Regular check-ins with learners/Warriors to ensure they aware of important dates 
    • Manage Annual Leave | Capture & Update
    • Update the Learnership tracking sheets
    • Update pre work and contact session schedules 
    • Booking of accommodation via A2B Travel 
    • GL checks on uplifted amounts
    • Liaise with Finance Admin Attending HR Learnership Updates & follow up on Action items outstanding
    • Communicating changes with Service Provider and Speciality Reporting Manager
    • Staying up to date with current events and attending to queries on WhatsApp groups and emails
    • Ongoing mentor support, follow up and check in’s
