HR Business Partner at Weir Minerals

Purpose of Role:

• The HR Business Partner serves as the leading HR business partner for all employees in the Africa Region.  The primary responsibility for this role is to lead and execute on initiatives tied to talent acquisition, employee development, retention, and talent management that advance the organizational capability of the Region. 
• This role reports to the HR Director, EMECA and indirectly to the Regional Managing Director, Africa.

Key Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate a hands-on approach to provide quality HR support; provide high quality HR counsel, tools, and resources to build capability and deliver outstanding results.
• Provide expert guidance on employee relations, including grievance resolution, disciplinary processes and performance management.
• Ensure all necessary employment laws and regulations are followed; ensure compliance with BBBEE regulations.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

• Recognised HR qualification.
• Professional experience as a HR Business Partner in a globally matrixed company.
• Natural curiosity and the proven ability to translate business priorities into effective HR strategies, actionable people plans, and processes aligned to global change agendas.
• Skilled in engaging and influencing others across multiple geographies and matrix.
• Results-oriented, technology minded, pragmatic, and action-focused, with a collaborative and consultative approach.
