    HR Operations Specialist

    Job purpose:

    • The HR Operations Specialist is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the smooth operation of various HR processes, policies, and systems. This role supports the HR department in maintaining compliance, improving operational efficiency, and enhancing the employee experience. The HR Operations Specialist works closely with internal stakeholders, employees, and HR leadership to ensure seamless HR service delivery.

    REQUIREMENTS

    Minimum education (essential):

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent

    Minimum applicable experience (years):

    • 5 -10 years of experience in HR operations, HR administration, or a similar role

    Skills and Knowledge (essential):

    • Sage 300 payroll experience
    • Strong knowledge of labour laws and HR best practices
    • Proficiency in HRIS, payroll systems, and MS Office Suite
    • Experience with HR technology and data analytics
    • Exposure to global HR operations (if applicable)

    Other:

    • Proficient in Afrikaans and English
    • Own transport and license

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS 

    HR Process & Policy Management:

    • Ensure HR policies and procedures comply with labor laws and organizational guidelines.
    • Maintain and update employee handbooks and HR policy documentation.
    • Support internal audits and compliance checks.

    HR Systems & Data Management:

    • Manage and update HRIS (Human Resource Information System) and ensure data accuracy.
    • Generate HR reports and analytics to support business decisions.
    • Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of employee data.

    Employee Lifecycle Management:

    • Support onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a seamless experience for employees.
    • Manage employee records, contracts, and performance-related documentation.
    • Coordinate exit interviews and analyze feedback for improvements.

    Payroll & Benefits Administration:

    • Work with payroll teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of salaries.
    • Administer employee benefits programs and address inquiries.
    • Ensure compliance with tax and labor regulations related to compensation and benefits.

    Employee Relations & Support:

    • Address employee queries related to HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
    • Support HR initiatives to improve employee engagement and workplace culture.
    • Assist in conflict resolution and grievance management.

    HR Projects & Continuous Improvement:

    • Participate in HR projects aimed at improving efficiency and employee satisfaction.
    • Research and implement best practices for HR operational excellence.
    • Assist in change management and organizational development initiatives.
