    HR Specialist - Pretoria

    FUNCTIONAL DEFINITION
    Full Human Resources function for the site, including setting up company policies and maintaining updated
    employee records whilst ensuring confidentiality is maintained. This incumbent is tasked with ensuring that they foster a healthy workplace by ensuring that the HR procedures run smoothly at all times.

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    RECRUITMENT

    •  Complete Recruitment and selection cycle
    •  Responsible for the internal and external recruitment for the site
    •  Schedule interviews
    •  Conduct interviews with the relevant divisions.
    •  Liaise with recruitment agencies (if required).
    •  Complete Recruitment Tracking Schedule
    •  Monitor salary and headcount budgets

    INDUCTION

    •  Manage Induction and On-Boarding Process with Head Office
    •  Assist with the planning and setup of staff training sessions and activities for the site
    •  Responsible for employee exit administration.
    •  Drafting of contracts
    •  Co-ordinate Entrance and Exit medicals

    INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS

    •  Industrial Relations: Ensure all IR processes are governed by law.
    •  Attend DRC hearings and internal disciplinary enquiries. Liaise with IR specialist at Head Office.
    •  Ensures compliance with all labour legislations, company policies and procedures.
    •  Represents the site in IR forums.
    •  Adherence t labour legislation in line with MIBCO

    TEMPORARY EMPLOYMENT

    •  Management of multiple TES providers
    •  Ensure data accuracy t headcount
    •  Request Labour for Production

    BUSINESS PARTNERING

    •  Guides and assists management with counselling sessions.
    •  Provide advice / guidance t management on misconduct, poor performance, conflict resolution and grievance matters.
    •  Generate documentation in support of the relevant disciplinary action taken namely warnings; notice t attend a disciplinary enquiry; AWOL letters, termination letters or any other letter with underlying conflict issues.
    •  Handle HR/IR related queries and administration
    •  Assist Managers with IR advice and issue any necessary paperwork for a Counselling, Warnings,
    • suspension or Disciplinary Hearing.

    ORGANISATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

    •  Organizational Design / Succession Planning / Talent Management / Performance Management
    •  Compilation or revision of job descriptions for all staff.
    •  Communications/HR Administration
    •  Customer service
    •  Plan and co-ordinate monthly and annual performance review sessions
    •  Maintain organisational organograms/charts and job descriptions
    •  Adherence t policies and procedures

    REPORTING

    •  Compile HR/IR statistics – weekly
    •  Recruitment
    •  Headcount
    •  Industrial Relations
    •  TASEZ quarterly headcount submission

    PAYROLL

    •  Create and maintain Employee files/documentation.
    •  Payroll Support and Administration — Accsys and Jarrison time.
    •  Weekly and Monthly payroll input
    •  Management of time and attendance

    TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT

    •  Implement Training and development plans
    •  Identify training needs and manage training matrix.
    •  Manage HR related audits/compliance.
    •  Ensure compliance with HR processes.
    •  Support plant in advisory role
    •  Ad hoc duties

    Position Qualifications and minimum requirements:

    •  Higher National Diploma in Human Resources. Preferred: NQF Level 6 Industrial Psychology or BCom Majoring in Human Resources/Business Management.
    •  Proven experience as an HR Specialist or Generalist (3-5 years working experience in HR in a manufacturing environment in a unionised environment). Automotive manufacturing experience is an added advantage.
    •  Hands-on experience with tracking systems.
    •  Familiarity with full recruitment cycle
    •  In-depth knowledge of BCEA, LRA, MIBC Main agreement
    •  Management of recruitment process and trends
    •  Management of time and attendance
    •  Computer literacy proficient with Microsoft Office application
