The University of Venda is a South African comprehensive rural-based institution, located in Thohoyandou in Limpopo province. It was established in 1982 under the then Republic of Venda government.
Candidate should be in possession of a National Diploma in Human Resources Management coupled with four years' relevant experience.
Candidate should have knowledge of the legislation as well as ability to interpret policies. In addition candidates must have good verbal and written communication skills, be computer literate (MSWord, EXCEL, etc) have knowledge and understanding of HR-related labour legislation and be able to work under pressure.
A valid driver's licence will serve as an added advantage.
Duties
The successful candidate will be responsible for various operational processes not limited to:
Recruitment and selection process based on the relevant legislation, HR strategies, performance agreement and HR policies and procedures.
This will include administrative support to the delivery of key functions in recruitment, selection, and on-boarding of staff; facilitation of applications for work permits, competency tests and background checks; assist in the development of HR policies and procedures.
Candidate shall also be responsible for administration of conditions of service and benefits.
