    HSE Practitioner: Specialties - Lubricants Manufacturing Plant (LMP)

    Job Description

    TotalEnergies has an exciting opportunity available for an HSE Practitioner based at Lubricants Manufacturing Plant (LMP) in Durban!

    In this role, you will be responsible for:

    Lubricants Manufacturing Plant (LMP) Operations:

    • Management of all system related information on INTELEX, COMPLYWORKS and RAMSES for all sites within scope including :
    • Permitting
    • Licenses
    • Action plans
    • Reports
    • Contractor management
    • Incident management, investigation and closure
    • Monitor findings from all legislatively required licenses, permits, surveys and reports, auditable, valid and compliant.

    Attend to all preparatory work for the LMP HSE Audits –

    • ISO 14001,IMS,  ONE MAESTRO, MAESTRO Log, SMT, Construction Compliance Audits, Legal Compliance Audits, RSR, SRM+

    Provide comprehensive updates & statistical analysis (Trends) of the KPI Data for the Area of Responsibility including driving of action plan management for:

    • RAMSES
    • INTELEX
    • COMPLYWORKS
    • Ensure that all events and non-conformance’s are investigated and reported as required by Group and Local Legislation and advise on corrective and preventive actions and evaluate the effectiveness of the implementation.
    • Ensure that all Events are investigated, and effective close out of recommendations.
    • Recommend suspension of operational activities when justified, in consultation with Line Manager & Business.
    • Roll out HSE related Initiatives as initiated by the HSE & EL Division, Logistics, Transport, and Integrity & Engineering Technical Teams.
    • Monitor the implementation of the Integrity Management Approach, participate in testing of Safety Critical Barriers and provide feedback on progress.

    Ensure the constant reduction of Health and Safety liability claims and high level of safety and health performance by effective management of the business management systems and performance Indicators (KPI’s) by:

    • Conducting self-evaluation System Audits in line with the requirements of ONE MAESTRO & MAESTRO LOG.
    • Follow up on all audit findings
    • Attend the monthly HSE Meetings
    • Attend all HSE Management Review Meetings
    • Quarterly System Evaluations
    • 1 Emergency Drill per month
    • Task Analysis
    • HIRA

    Engineering – HSE Contractor Performance Management

    • Provide HSE Contractor Performance feedback on implementation of Project.
    • Monitor Contractor improvement plans – Orange Contractors as per ICC audits

    HSE Project Management

    • Prevention Plan per Project
    • Annual Prevention Plan per Maintenance Contractor
    • 1 Project Progress Meeting per Month
    • Attend at a minimum of 1 ICC Audit per Quarter
    • Provide Functional HSE support to the HSEQ Specialist & the Specialities Division

    Audits and reporting

    • Advise on HSE related performance in the  HSE Management Review meetings
    • Investigation of all Events and non-conformance’s and effective implementation of corrective and preventive actions
    • Monitor compliance of HSE permits and licenses as required by specific legislations.
    • Conduct Construction Compliance Audits and reports thereof
    • Development of Guidelines and Standards relating to the various Divisional HSE requirements
    •   Carry out any other lawful and reasonable instruction by the HSE Operations Manager, Specialist or GM:HSE and EL

    Transport
    Provide feedback on:

    • Performance of the LMP Staff Transporter
    • ICT Program
    • PATROM Transporter KPI
    • Compliance to SMT Level 4
    • Fatigue Management Program
    • STL Monitoring Program
    • DPS Monitoring Program
    • HSE Recognition Program

    Technological Risk

    • Ensure the monitoring of Critical Barrier Program.
    • Participate in the Testing of Critical Barriers
    • Ensure that Procedures are aligned to Risk Management Philosophy of the TRA.
    • Participate in the development of Downgraded Situations.
    • Carry out any other lawful and reasonable instruction by the HSE Specialist/ HSE operations Manager Logistics and Specialities.

    Candidate profile

    You have:

    • Degree in Safety management / Occupational Health & Hygiene Management or engineering qualification
    • Knowledge of Integrity management is an advantage
    • Successful completion of courses related to HSE Management Systems and Practices, and HSEQ legislation applicable to requirements
    • Knowledge and understanding of company policies and procedures.
    • Knowledge and understanding of HSE legislation and applicable charters
    • Valid code 08 drivers license.
