Human Resources Specialist (Employment Equity & Compliance)
Design and implement comprehensive strategies and initiatives related to Employment Equity (EE), Diversity and Inclusion (DEI) aligned with organisational
goals;
Review and implement policies and procedures related to Employment Equity (EE) and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI);
Design and implement the Employment Equity Plan, leading targeted affirmative action strategies to address demographic imbalances and ensure alignment with equity policies and regulatory standards;
Coordinate and prepare for audits or inspections by relevant authorities ensuring full compliance and readiness;
Increase disability awareness and progress in the workplace, aligning initiatives with DEI goals;
Collect and monitor company information, data, and documentation from various departments to support the completion of BBBEE verification;
Provide support for various HR projects and respond to HR related inquiries as required;
Track and report on DEI and BBBEE metrics, maintaining accurate data and report progress towards equity and diversity targets;
Gather and compile data for annual EE reports (EEA 2 & EEA 4), ensuring timely submission to the Department of Employment and Labour;
Manage and fulfil ad-hoc reporting;
Work closely with all external and internal stakeholders to establish strong relationships and ensure all issues are highlighted and addressed in a speedy
manner;
Engage in active listening with stakeholders, integrating their insights and feedback into HR policies and programs.
Requirements
Grade 12 or Equivalent (Essential);
National Diploma/Degree in Human Resource Management (Essential);
5 years’ experience in Employment Equity, Skills Development and BBBEE (Essential);
Knowledge and understanding of Human Resource Management practices and procedures and relevant legislation (BCEA, LRA, EEA, SDA, Codes of Good Practices);
Proficient use of the Microsoft Office suite;
Excellent in using Excel Strong focus on V-lookups and Pivot Tables;
Strong analytical skills with experience in data reporting and metrics;
Ability to ensure the confidentiality of company and employee information.
Strong planning and organisational skills;
Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills at various levels;
