ICT Infrastructure Leader at Robert Walters

​​​​​​​My client is a fast-growing finance and technology company operating in Sub Saharan Africa in several countries and growing. They deliver personal lending products through online, mobile phone and branch channels.They are recruiting a new member of the IT team. The ideal candidate must be conscientious and have a natural curiosity to learn how things work. A healthy spirit of adventure and sense of humour is welcome.

Planning, design, implementation, and maintenance of the group’s ICT infrastructure.

Includes:

•  IT hardware. Includes procurement, setup, maintenance and replacement processes.
•  Networking and cabling - ensure consistent high standards throughout the group
•  Connectivity. Data, voice, telephony
•  Desktop security (including antivirus, patch management)
•  User security awareness and training
•  Desktop support services
•  Management of in-country IT teams (currently 6 people)
•  Key supplier relationships and management
•  Google Workspace administration and adoption
•  Cost management
•  Others: Firewalls, VPN, Queueing systems, CCTV

Requirements:

•  A relevant degree or diploma.
•  3+ years of relevant work experience in an IT support environment.
•  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills using logical pragmatic reasoning.
•  Attention to detail
•  A concern for order, quality and accuracy. A meticulous approach to work.
•  Fast and self-learning abilities.
•  Result orientation and eager to work hard and smart.
•  Good communication skills.
•  Willing to travel
•  Passion for Africa and willingness to work in the developing world context.
