Job Description

• To react to current trade and feedback from overseas travel, interpreting into designs that excites the MRP customer. Initiate responses and work in collaboration with the buyers on Current trade.

Responsibilities
Strategy, Review & Post Mortem

• Prepare computer-aided designs and review boards to assist the merchandising team in strategic reviews and post mortems.
• Compile and keep updated, core booklets by brand.

Product development & Supplier briefing

• Assist buying team in continuous & relevant online references for product style extensions based on reads from current trade in preparation for review & strategy.
• Working closely with the buyer to design accurate and detailed tech packs (seasonally and/or as necessary in preparation for review and strategy.
• Execute technical information that is accurate on CADS in preparation for review and strategy.
• With direction from Buyer assist in briefing print into the graphics team to assist the graphic team in strategic reviews and post mortems
• With direction from buyer and working with trend to develop the digital merchandise collection

Overseas sample management

• Keep records of samples purchased (by photographing, tagging and hanging) to create and maintain an updated registry/catalogue

Qualifications
Requirements:

• Diploma /Degree: Fashion Design or Clothing management
• 2-3 years’ experience in CAD Design
• Knowledge of fabrics, garment construction and tech packs
• Adobe suite knowledge

Understanding of the Retail Merchandise Process
