Industrial Automation/OT Consultant at Accenture

Job Description

• Accenture is seeking a dynamic Industrial Automation Consultant to join its Engineering practice. This role sits at the intersection of industrial engineering and digital transformation, supporting clients in modernizing their operational technology (OT) environments.
• The position combines consulting, advisory, and system integration, with a strong focus on IT/OT convergence, industrial data platforms, cloud, and advanced analytics.

Key Responsibilities

Client Advisory & Digital Transformation

• Advise clients on industrial digital transformation strategies

Support initiatives in:

• IT/OT convergence
• Smart manufacturing and connected operations
• Industrial data, AI, and cloud adoption
• Translate operational challenges into scalable technology solutions

Industrial Architecture & Design

• Design and develop industrial control system architectures (PLC, SCADA, DCS)
• Produce:
• Functional design specifications
• Detailed technical design documentation
• Define end-to-end OT architectures integrating shopfloor and enterprise systems

Systems Integration & Delivery

• Support implementation of industrial automation and digital solutions
• Integrate:
• Control systems
• Industrial networks
• Data and analytics platforms
• Participate in complex engineering projects, including deployment and commissioning support

Qualification

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in engineering electronic or electrical i.e. BSc or BEng from top tier university – (Please note that BTech is not been considered )
• Must demonstrate that the projects that have been worked on were at a complex level
• Preference with candidates who have heavy industry experience – mining, oil and gas, mining etc – However FMCG will be considered.
• High proficiency in English. Proficiency in other European languages is a plus.
• Must demonstrate leadership skills and self-motivation to engage with different assignments and fast paced projects.
• Must be willing to travel
