Industrial Engineer - Supply Chain (72552) at Ntice Sourcing Solutions

Job Description

• A well-established organisation within the food and FMCG sector is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer - Supply Chain to join their team, based at their Pinetown Distribution Centre. 
• The role will focus on process improvement, operational efficiency, productivity, workflow optimisation and data analysis across supply chain and distribution centre operations.

Key Requirements

• Industrial Engineering Degree or National Diploma - mandatory
• 3-5 years' experience in supply chain, warehousing, logistics or distribution - mandatory
• Strong Excel and analytical capability, including pivot tables, data analysis, reporting and modelling
• Experience in process improvement, process mapping, workflow optimisation and SOP development
• Experience with time studies, labour utilisation and productivity analysis
• Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving capability
• Experience in operational reporting and KPI analysis
• Exposure to WMS, TMS or ERP systems advantageous
• Experience within FMCG, warehousing, logistics or QSR environments advantageous
• Willingness to travel to distribution centres and operational sites when required

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse and improve supply chain, warehouse and distribution processes
• Conduct process mapping, workflow analysis, time studies and labour utilisation assessments
• Identify and eliminate bottlenecks, inefficiencies and non-value-adding activities
• Develop and implement SOPs and process improvements
• Analyse operational data and develop Excel-based reporting, dashboards and performance tools
• Drive productivity, efficiency and cost-saving initiatives
• Conduct root cause analysis and support continuous improvement projects
• Support process standardisation and future WMS/TMS/ERP implementation
• Work with Operations and cross-functional teams to improve DC performance and operational controls
