Purpose of the job:

Design and deploy Quality Control Plan per manufacturing process to support an external demerit at 0 for Alstom Customer and the Zero-Defect Program

Accountability & Authorities

• Manage Industrial Quality activities in relevant workshop (IQ team + process + KPI).
• Manage a team of Inspectors and ensure their competences are in line with Alstom’s requirements.
• Stop production in case of a defect which justifies mandatory rework.
• Participate or delegate customer joint Inspections.
• Participate to process FMEA definition.
• Build, implement & regularly update Quality Control Plans with REX of previous project execution.
• Ensure customer approval, documents validation & compliance of the manufactured products before shipping and maintain all controlled document files and test records in timely and accurate manner.
• Perform Line Quality Animation with cross function team.
• Perform Workstation Audits and Support Station Audits.
• Implement and maintain ALSTOM PERFORMANCE SYSTEM for the Industrial quality Domain for the respective shop.

Technician profile

• Perform, participate to inspections of products (Customer joint inspections included if applicable).
• Manage problem solving.
• Records inspection results in the industrial tools as required & performed follow-up.
• Perform first characterization & manage NCRs for non-compliant products for internal responsibility.
• Have ability to accepts or reject products as defined in the working instructions / Expert support.
• Support manufacturing teams regarding the self-inspection, delegation of control (Training, audit, …) & Position Quality Animation with EPU manager.
• Analyse audit reports/results in terms of repeated deficiencies, reviewing with process owners.

Performance measurements

• Defects per Unit reduction (as per site KPI) and External demerit objective.
• CONQ objective (for CONQ S1.1 & S1.3).
• APSYS score for Industrial scope.
• Internal Audit score.

Educational Requirements / Experience

Mandatory:

• B-tech/BSc Eng Qualification in Quality Management, Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• 5 years’ experience in Industrial.
• Project management or equivalent.
• Experience in managing Quality tools and problem-solving tools Computer literacy (MS Office)
• Personality: Leadership, autonomy, pro-activeness, resistance to stress, organisation, management skills, interpersonal skills.
• Processes knowledge on Quality and at industrial level.
• Management experience
