Information Technology Clerk at Renosterberg Local Municipality

Requirements:

• Grade 12 (NQF level 4) National Diploma/ NQF Level 6 Qualification in IT, preferably Support Services.
• Computer literacy in Word, excel, Powerpoint and Access.
• Problem solving skills
• Communication and customer service
• Networking knowledge
• Administration and Organisation
• Have minimum 2 years’ experience

Duties :

• Monitoring system performance, network connectivity, and service availability, and escalating issues to senior IT staff where necessary.
• Assisting in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of computer hardware, operating systems, and network equipment.
• Conducting routine system checks, backups, and restoration tests to ensure data integrity and system reliability.
• Providing first line technical assistance for hardware, software, and network related issues for both onsite and remote users.
• Maintaining an updated inventory of ICT equipment, software assets, warranties, and lifecycles statuses.
• Assisting in drafting technical reports, incident summaries, and documentation describing system procedures and configurations.
• Assisting with basic network troubleshooting, including WI-FI connectivity issues, IP conflicts, and printer network mapping.
