Infrastructure Architect: End User Computing at Capitec Bank

Purpose Statement

• To create and optimise the end user computing environment for Capitec Bank.

Experience

Min:

• 5+ years ICT experience in the end-user computing environment at a senior/lead level
• 3+ years design and implementation of desktop hardware, software and management systems servicing the end-user computing environment in a large enterprise

Ideal:

• 3+ years in desktop infrastructure maintenance using end user cloud management technologies

Qualifications (Minimum)

• Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational
• A relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology

Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)

• A relevant degree in Information Technology

Knowledge

Min:

A thorough and in-depth understanding of:

• End user architecture and distributed hybrid IT infrastructure systems
• Documenting of IT systems and infrastructure
• E-Mail and Collaboration Services (Exchange, Exchange Online, Teams, Teams Telephony)
• Desktop design standards and implementation strategy.
• Microsoft Windows operating system architecture and application integration
• Microsoft Cloud Products and Services (O365, Azure Active Directory)
• Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop Services
• Apple MAC Operating System
• Active Directory and Advanced Group Policy management
• Security relevant to desktops (using tools like group policy management)
• Unified Endpoint Manager and all supporting product functionality
• Encryption technologies (BitLocker)
• Mobile Device Management technologies.
• Automation methods and methodologies, using management system features, PowerShell, Python, JSON and / or JAVA
• End User hardware and peripheral technologies, testing and lifecycle management processes.
