Grade 12, BSc or B-Tech degree (NQF level 7) in Agricultural or Civil Engineering.
Three (3) years’ relevant experience working in agricultural / civil engineering environment.
At least one year experience should be in middle management services.
Valid driver’s license code 8 or above
Registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineer or Professional Engineering Technologist and must be active.

To manage planning, design, implementation of engineering projects and new systems to solve problems, improve efficiency in one or more of the following fields of agricultural infrastructure: irrigation & water supply pump stations, mechanization; farm structures; animal handling facilities; food processing and energy,
Implementation of cost-effective solutions according to Agribusiness, Development agency (ADA) standards. Develop design manuals, standard drawings and procedures,
Promotion of safety in line with statutory and regulatory requirements. Preparing presentation and reports of implementation of projects,
Reporting on service delivery and adherence to administrative procedures and regulations,
Self-development in terms of keeping up to date with new technologies and procedures,
Monitoring and supervision of projects from different service providers under Agribusiness Development agency (ADA).
Ad hoc duties required by the incumbent’s supervisor.
