    Infrastructure Specialist (Level 9) - Cape Town Office, Bridgetown

    RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    Project Planning & Implementation

    • Plan, coordinate and implement infrastructure projects in line with approved business plans.
    • Develop and manage project schedules to ensure timely delivery.
    • Coordinate project activities and facilitate meetings with key stakeholders.

    Technical Design & Quality Assurance

    • Develop or oversee technical designs, specifications and construction documentation.
    • Ensure compliance with engineering standards, municipal requirements and project specifications.
    • Conduct site inspections and implement quality assurance measures throughout the project lifecycle.

    Project Monitoring, Reporting & Contract Administration

    • Monitor project progress and maintain accurate project documentation.
    • Prepare project reports and provide regular updates to management and stakeholders.
    • Administer construction contracts, monitor contractor performance and manage project risks.

    Financial, Procurement & Cost Management

    • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and financial regulations.
    • Prepare tender documentation, cost estimates and capital requests.
    • Monitor project budgets, expenditure and cash flow.

    Stakeholder & Client Management

    • Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders and project partners.
    • Act as the primary liaison between clients, contractors, consultants and government departments.
    • Provide technical support and ensure effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Diploma or Degree in the Construction built Environment or a relevant tertiary qualification
    • A Project Management qualification would be advantageous
    • Sound understanding of construction standards, infrastructure development and municipal regulations
    • At least 3 years’ experience in a construction environment working with infrastructure projects (building, civil, or structural)
    • At least 2 years of experience in project management, budgeting, procurement and report writing
    • In-dept understanding of technical drawings, construction and detailing
    • Ability to draft technical specifications
    • A valid Code B driver’s license
    • No Criminal record
