    Instructional Designer

    You will sit within a team of tech-savvy IT pros, which comes with a lot of opportunities to play and learn about new technology. Here at DRA we embrace learning. In fact, we encourage it, daily.

    The content you create will be centered around IT systems and technology solutions. As IT’s Instructional Designer, you will be responsible for designing digital content for all Business Systems that the IT department supports.

    You’ll be involved in the full learning and development lifecycle and ensure that the most relevant and effective learning interventions are being delivered through initial consultancy and ongoing relationship management with SMEs throughout the business.

    Key responsibilities

    • Design interactive e-learning courses using primarily Articulate Rise and Articulate Storyline
    • Identify learning needs
    • Developing relevant training interventions to close knowledge gaps
    • Design micro-learning modules for regular release, encouraging a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the business
    • Produce effective design documents such as content maps, storyboards, and scripts of high quality
    • Use the ADDIE model to ensure the entire learning and development lifecycle is followed through to close learning gaps
    • Work closely with the business systems team to create training content to deliver to a global audience
    • Assist in the administration of the group LMS in partnership with HR to ensure learning content is always easily accessible and relevant to the business
    • Continuously update training content to match the latest software versions and align to international best practices
    • Ensure the material produced always adheres to our customer’s brand and editorial standards

    Requirements

    Essential

    • 2-3 years of experience using Articulate’s suite of applications as DRA’s preferred authoring tool
    • A minimum of 3 years of demonstrable experience in designing learning experiences with a passion for making great learning content
    • Experience in creating a variety of learning assets, including course curriculums, video learning assets, storyboards, and scripts
    • Experience with modern learning solutions, e.g. learning experience platforms (LXPs), system simulations, games, informal learning, or mobile learning
    • Exceptional attention to detail, even while working at speed
    • Technically strong; fluent in technical ideas/concepts and ideally familiar with Office 365

    Bonus!

    • Knowledge of LMS functionality and administration
    • Expertise in the whole ID lifecycle: requirements analysis, high-level training design and specification, interactive screen design, storyboarding, quality assurance, and learning accessibility
    • A background in, or foundational understanding of Cyber Security is a plus
    • If you have experience working within an IT department, you will stand out above the rest
    • Technical writing experience
