    NAM Assistant (Siqalo) - Westville

    Job Description    
    This specific position that we are recruiting for is in SIQALO Foods (Pty) Ltd, a Remgro Group Company and market leader in Spreads with the well-known brands Rama, Stork and Flora. SIQALO Foods works in partnership with RCL FOODS.

    Our Talent Team are currently looking for a skilled NAM Assistant to join our Customer Team within the Spreads Division. The role will be based at Westville and report to the National Accounts Manager.

    SIQALO Foods entrusts the incumbent to ensure that all aspects of daily customer/retailer admin and service queries are addressed. To act as the front-line administrative information conduit for customers and into other Spreads departments. To build a deep understanding of customer/retailer operations and ensure efficient and accurate data capture of workflow data updates and changes. To provide support to the Account Manager in the smooth running of a customer account.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • B.Com Logistics or or B.Com General or similar degree.
    • Valid code EB drivers' license.
    • Computer literacy (SAP MM and BW and Advanced MS Office and especially proficiency in Excel & PowerPoint).
    • 3 years account or general administration experience, preferably in a FMCG sales environment.

    Knowledge:

    • Customer relations experience.
    • Supply chain and various roles within the FMCG realm.
    • Sales and logistics execution processes with emphasis on 3PL concepts.
    • Spreads business partners, processes and people.
    • An understanding of multiple key performance indicators, inter-relationship and bottom-line sensitivity.
    • Warehousing SAP system.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    Know Your Number:

    • Familiarize yourself with the following:
    • Shoprite Group and Banner Targets and growths for the full year.
    • Daily performance vs. pro-forma for Spreads and Beverages.
    • Monthly performance vs. budget for Spreads and Beverages.
    • Sales Out and Share Performance across Spreads and Beverages.
    • Monitor and report sales performance by customer.

    Customer Meetings:

    • Responsible for the preparation for all Customer Meetings: Prepare & maintain monthly Customer Reviews (including Sales In, Sales Out, Share Analysis, Innovation, Category Drives & AAS).

    CBP Inputs, Participation & Tracking:

    • Assist the NAM in tracking F24 CBP & delivering quarterly reviews. Attend F23 Brand Plan sessions.
    • Use Internal Systems, Aztec IRI/Dunnhumby/Cube/Activity Tracker and other data/information sources to gather inputs for Shoprite Group SWOTs/CBPs.

    Promo Grid & Budget Management/Tracking (Activity Tracker):

    • Responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the Shoprite Group Promo Grid and Activity Tracker and Budgets Tracking.

    NRM:

    • Monthly monitoring of spend (CPP & Adhoc). Ensure CPP accruals (25th) and actuals (are communicated as per agreed deadline by the BU).
    • Monthly analysis of spend tracking post promotional activity before finance meetings.
    • Weekly updating of the spend trackers – ensure timeous capturing of promotions, loading of contracts, workflow approvals & claim accuracy.

    Promo Forecasting:

    • Support the NAM in creating & reviewing volume forecasts.

    Operational Execution:

    • Support the NAM in executing and tracking all planned activities (promotions, NPD, category drives).
    • Build strong relationships across the RCL FOODS Regional Sales and Spreads Sales & Merchandising teams.

    Perfect Store Monitors:

    • Monitor weekly pricing on key SKU's in Customers by region. Monitor implementation of key price points vs TPR given.

    Stock Management & Supply Chain:

    • Link to the various Call Centers while building strong relationships. Develop relationships across Logistics teams. Deal with all customer stock issues/queries/delivery queries/pricing.

    Price Increases & Price Book Management:

    • Assist the NAM in landing Price Increases on time and in full.

    Customer Marketing Key Meetings (Grids, Mini-Com, Com, Category Forums, Cycle Briefing):

    • Support NAM for all CM Key Meetings.

    Store Visits:

    • Conduct store visits at least once a month & distribute Trade Visit Reports to broader team.

    Innovation:

    • Support the NAM in landing all Innovation OTIF by being the "Face of Shoprite" to the internal business.

    Category Drives:

    • Support the NAM in developing & landing all category drives.

    Shoprite Growth Hurdles (where applicable):

    • Maintain & distribute monthly Spreads and Beverages Growth Hurdle tracker.
    • Maintain & distribute monthly Group Growth Hurdle tracker.
    • Own the relationship with RCL FOODS Commercial & Master data teams to ensure accuracy and timeliness of reporting.

    Shoprite JBP/JTD:

    • Familiarize yourself with the Shoprite Spreads and Beverages JBP Process. Assist the NAM in tracking the JBP – ensure the latest JBP Scorecard is included in Customer Reviews.
    • Assist the NAM's in compiling the 2021/2021 JBP Build. Leverage cross functional team (marketing and finance) in delivery of customer plans. Contributes to the development of strategy and objectives with NAM and Category teams.

    The successful incumbent will provide finance administration, general ledger and cashbook support to the Finance team.

    Minimum Requirements

    Duties & Responsibilities

    General Ledger

    • Invoice Raw Materials (Commodity Oils).
    • Maintain Mass Variance analysis Tracker.
    • Invoice for Non-stock Items & Shared services – Sundry sales and inter-company recharges.
    • Process normal & accrual journal entries with supporting documents and approval– Factory, treasury, rebates & services accruals.
    • Conduct F-02 Journal entry processing SDO Offset & Vector discount processing & any other F-02 Journals required by GL Accountant.
    • Monthly reversing of Accrual journals.
    • Balance Sheet Reconciliation preparation (Trade Creditors, Trade Debtors, GR-IR, Foreign GR-IR).
    • Conduct Purchase Order requisitions for Monthly charges.
    • Compile ad hoc spreadsheets and analysis when required.

    Administration

    • Filing and safeguard records within area of responsibility.
