Insurance Platform Lead at Dis-Chem Pharmacies

Job Description

• Dis-Chem Pharmacies has an opportunity available for an Insurance Platform Squad Lead, reporting into the Core Platforms Tribe Lead, owns the end-to-end health, delivery, and operational performance of Dis-Chem’s insurance platforms.
• The role leads a cross-functional squad responsible for configuring, integrating, and operating platforms that support insurance product configuration, policy administration, claims processing, rules engines, and insurance-related integrations.
• Working closely with Insurance Operations, Finance, Risk, and Product stakeholders, the Squad Lead translates priorities from the Core Platforms Tribe roadmap into an executable backlog, ensuring reliable processing, regulatory compliance, and platform stability.
• This role is critical to enabling accurate, compliant insurance operations integrated with CRM, Finance, Customer Engagement, and Integration platforms.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Financial Systems, or a related field
• 7+ years’ experience in insurance platforms, financial services systems, or regulated enterprise applications
• Proven experience leading platform squads or cross-functional delivery teams
• Experience in insurance or financial services environments preferred

Responsibilities

Platform ownership and roadmap

• Own execution of the insurance platform roadmap within the Core Platforms Tribe
• Shape priorities, sequencing, and dependencies with the Tribe Lead and Product Owners
• Drive standardization of insurance processes, rules, and configuration
• Ensure alignment with CRM, Finance, Customer Engagement, and Integration platforms

Delivery and operations

• Lead the insurance platform squad delivering configuration, enhancements, and integrations
• Ensure stable day-to-day operation of insurance systems, including claims cycles and financial reconciliation
• Own release planning, testing, and production support
• Proactively manage incidents and prevent repeat failures

Governance and collaboration

• Ensure insurance platform changes comply with enterprise architecture, integration standards, security, and regulatory requirements
• Coordinate closely with Risk, Compliance, Audit, Finance, and Integration teams
• Manage insurance platform vendor delivery within tribe-level governance frameworks
• Escalate architectural, data, or regulatory trade-offs as required

• Strong understanding of insurance platforms, policy administration, and claims processing systems
• Experience operating regulated, rules-driven enterprise platforms
• Ability to balance platform stability with product and regulatory change
