Production of accurate engineering drawings for the external manufacture and procurement of equipment, responsibility for safe design, quality, time and costs on assigned tasks – using established company systems and procedures
Preparing conceptual layouts for use in plant development, plant and equipment upgrades and modifications as required by customers
Creating 3D CAD models
Preparing Engineering drawings
Creating or updating bills of materials
Participation in projects to modify and upgrade plant and equipment or to develop new plants.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
A combination of educational and experience background is essential - N6 or T3 is preferred.
Experience in the design of BMH equipment in the port terminal, mining and mineral processing fields is important
2D and 3D drafting experience using 3D CAD software (MicroStation)
Three years of drafting and design experience in the BMH field
The incumbent needs to be conversant with technologies used in the bulk material handling industry
Basic knowledge of materials and material flow, conveyors, bin, hopper and chute design, stockyard machines, rail tipplers, rail and road out loading stations and shiploading
Knowledge and experience of manufacturing processes
