    Intermediate Microsoft Developer

    Purpose of the Job:

    This role is responsible for providing first line support for Microsoft Dynamics CRM, as well as manage the environment end-to-end and supporting the current SharePoint implementation. The incumbent will make recommendations on improvements to the current environment with a special focus on making use of Microsoft Power Apps.

    Main duties and responsibilities:

    • Adhering to the PPS Priority Matrix response and resolution times
    • Maintaining and consistently demonstrating a general knowledge of company guidelines, processes, practices and procedures
    • Accurately recording, updating and documenting requests using the IT service desk system
    • Managing support emails and calls
    • Evaluating and appropriately responding to assigned problems to determine the affected business service, and identifying who needs to be involved for problem resolution
    • Performing regular system data maintenance tasks as assigned
    • Monitoring alerts and events reported by systems and executing established recovery procedures
    • Supporting the Development team members during detailed design and coding phase
    • Executing test plans for functional unit tests, regression tests and system integration tests
    • Providing production support for the implemented Microsoft CRM, SharePoint and Power Apps
    • Configuration of the Microsoft CRM, SharePoint and Power App systems in production and non-production environments
    • Adhering to team and departmental development standards
    • Creating and maintaining business process and technical documentation
    • Preparing ad hoc reports as requested by business areas
    • Adhering to security management practices, as well as promoting established security standards
    • Collaborating with analysts, designers, and system owners to implement new environments and functionality enhancements
    • Creating and modifying business solutions for Microsoft CRM, SharePoint and Power Apps

    Formal Qualifications

    • Grade 12 (Matric)
    • College diploma or university degree in the field of Computer Science or equivalent working experience
    • Microsoft CRM Certification
    • Microsoft SharePoint Certification
    • Microsoft Power App Certification

    Experience

    • 5 years' appropriate IT experience
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Microsoft CRM, SharePoint and Power Apps - implementation, system design and related business experience

    Computer Literacy

    • Excellent IT skills and computer literacy

    Knowledge and Skills

    • Familiar with relational database concepts
    • Strong understanding of system integrations

    Competencies

    • Analytical and able to effectively manage and solving complex problems
    • Able to operate within defined standard operating procedures
    • Skilled at managing tasks through to completion, managing time effectively, set priorities appropriately and scheduling calls
    • Working cooperatively in a team environment
    • Able to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people in a professional manner, face to face, on the telephone and in writing
    • Good customer service principles
