RPO Recruitment’s client, an established engineering company is seeking a technically capable Structural Engineer for its Secunda operation. The role will suit a driven engineer who wants to broaden their experience through involvement in industrial and mining-related projects, while gaining valuable exposure to projects beyond the traditional design office.
The position combines engineering design with practical project involvement and provides a platform for continued professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop structural engineering solutions for assigned projects.
Complete design calculations and supporting technical documentation.
Assist with engineering deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
Investigate and resolve technical issues arising during construction.
Participate in site inspections and project-related assessments.
Coordinate structural requirements with other engineering disciplines.
Communicate with project stakeholders to ensure technical requirements are understood.
Maintain a high standard of engineering quality across all deliverables.
Requirements:
NQF Level 8 qualification such as a BEng/BSc Honours in Civil/Structural Engineering.
4–6 years of relevant industry experience.
Previous involvement in structural engineering projects.
Competence in structural analysis and design.
A proactive approach to technical problem-solving.
Willingness to spend time on project sites and travel when necessary.
An interest in pursuing professional registration.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
