    Intern: Laboratory Technician (Temporary) x5 - Isando Plant Snacks

    Job Overview:

    • Analytical and product quality testing, inspection and testing of raw materials and verification of incoming and receiving documentation. Responsible for equipment calibration when used in order to determine accurate information. In addition, day to day lab analysis.
    • Responsible for analytical and product quality tests i.e Seasoning, moisture, oil analysis.
    • Responsible for inspection and testing of raw materials and verification of incoming and receiving documentation.
    • Responsible for analytical and product quality tests of In Market Testing.
    • Attending daily Sensory Evaluation meetings for processing and packaging.
    • Investigate out of specification results and implement corrective actions.
    • Ongoing trouble shooting to identify possible causes of problems and to improve quality results and accuracy of data.
    • Feedback results on shifts to frontline with respect to opportunities and possible corrective action.
    • Ensure all data is captured on DQ and results communicated.
    • Conduct Allergen swabbing including managing and supporting all foreign objects and customer complaints on the line.
    • Calibration and maintenance of all equipment.
    • Control of stock requirements.
    • Documentation auditing and data analysis.
    • Responsible and accountable for Laboratory specific projects.
    • Coordinate projects related to improving quality and quality systems.
    • HACCP monitoring.
    • To ensure that AIB, food safety and quality standards are maintained throughout.
    • Manage and control all on hold, rejected and released stock.
    • Responsible for conducting Internal ASHA Lab Audits and active involvement and preparation in External ASHA IPS Audits.

    Qualifications

    • Diploma: Biotechnology and Food Technology (or equivalent in experience).
    • Integrity.
    • Attention to detail.
    • Results driven.
    • Computer Literacy.
