Internal Auditor at RCL Foods

Job Description    

• RCL FOODS Talent Acquisition team believes in building effective and strategic relationships with Top Talent in the market and keeping an eye out for opportunities for them.
• Our Talent Acquisition team is on the lookout for a skilled Internal Auditor.
• The main purpose of this role is to provide independent oversight regarding the effectiveness of and adherence to Group internal controls. 
• This role will be based in Westville and report to the Internal Audit Manager.

Minimum Requirements    

• Relevant B Degree
• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or CA (SA) - Advantageous
• SAP experience would be advantageous
• At least 3 years experience in auditing activities
• FMCG industry experience would be advantageous

Duties & Responsibilities    
Audit Planning and Execution

• Engage line management to determine current business processes and documents.
• Identify risks and internal controls already implemented.
• Evaluate the adequacy of controls.
• Recommend the most appropriate controls (where non-existent), aligned to organizational policies and procedures.
• Assist the Internal Audit Manager in preparing a risk-based internal audit plan on an annual basis
• Conduct audits by the Annual Audit Plan and Audit Methodology.
• Conduct audit testing of specified processes to test the adequacy of the design and operational effectiveness of controls.

Follow-up Audit Execution

• Determine line managers’ compliance with recommendations.
• Physically verify compliance and submit a report.
• Conduct the requested assignment under the supervision of the Internal Audit Manager.

Reporting

• Record deviations from the established processes.
• Compile findings, root causes, potential effects, recommendations, and line managers commitment (what, when, how) for consideration by the Audit Manager.

• Manager’s satisfaction with risk assessment and audit program
• Quality of findings
• Quality of management response
• Assignments conducted on time and within the budget
• Results of audit satisfaction questionnaires
• Manager’s satisfaction with finding reports
