Main Purpose of Job

• Support the Africa Sustainability Office in the planning and execution of its Public Policy and Purpose beyond Profit & Responsible Business mandate.

Key Performance Area

• Strategic Impact
• Provides support to the CSO in the implementation of Public Policy (PP) and Purpose beyond Profit (PbP) initiatives

Differentiators for this specific role

Public Policy specific

• Support the development of position papers relating to key areas of public policy focus, including POVs, talking points, and thought leadership as appropriate
• Co-ordinating communication with PP community across Africa
• Desktop research sense as input to shape and support key public policy focus areas
• Monitoring of external developments in non-market environments across Africa to support PP sensing activities

Purpose beyond Profit specific

• Support the embedment of a purpose-driven initiatives into business across our people and decision-making processes – workshops, presentations, communications

General

• Project management and co-ordination of initiatives including co-ordination events with stakeholder teams
• Assist with regular team reporting for Executive/Board submissions

Qualifications

• Business related degree

Desired Qualifications

• Postgraduate degree

Experience

• 3-year consultant level with experience in multi-stakeholder projects
• Strong project management experience
• Strong understanding of the role of business in society
• Analytical and research experience

Desired Experience

• Experience in project management within a multi-national organisation, engaging with multiple stakeholders.
