Purpose of the Internship:
The Road Accident Fund is committed to youth skills development, providing graduates with an opportunity to gain work-based experience. Applications are invited for the Documment Management Internship from unemployed graduates between the age of 18 and 25. The Internship program will run for a period of eighteen (18) months. Verification process will be undertaken to verify whether you have previous work anywhere within the Republic of South Africa.
Work based exposure may include the following:
File Handling and Tracking:
- Managing physical and electronic files to ensure accurate storage, retrieval, and compliance with organizational standards.
- Monitoring outstanding files and following up on pending deliveries to internal and external stakeholders.
Document Processing and Compliance:
- Ensuring timely processing of documents in line with internal policies, operational timelines, and legal requirements.
- Maintaining records in accordance with regulatory frameworks such as data protection and privacy policies.
Operational Coordination:
- Coordinating with multiple departments to ensure the smooth flow of documents, including urgent deliveries and exceptions handling.
- Implementing workarounds to minimize operational disruptions while maintaining accountability.
Reporting and Analytics:
- Preparing reports on document status, pending deliveries, and workflow bottlenecks for management review.
- Identifying trends in delays or errors to improve filing processes and operational efficiency.
System and Process Improvement Exposure:
- Gaining experience with document management systems (DMS) and filing workflows.
- Recommending process enhancements to reduce backlog, ensure compliance, and meet organizational targets.

- B degree / Diploma in Records Management or Information Science
