    Inventory Analyst - SAB Port Shepstone Depot

    End Date: September 22, 2026

    Key Roles and Responsibilities:

    FG Quality Management

    • Adheres to Finished Goods (FG) inventory quality fundamentals and standards in line with DPO requirements.
    • Ensures FG inventory is accurately blocked in SAP and supported by appropriate physical blocking controls for quality-related and obsolete stock, in accordance with DPO standards.
    • Maintains compliance with freshness and stock rotation policies as defined by DPO standards.
    • Ensures inventory counts are accurately recorded, with quantities, BBD, SKU, and bin card information clearly displayed and maintained according to DPO requirements.
    • Applies and manages inventory concession processes in line with approved DPO product age standards.
    • Monitors and controls quality-related and obsolete inventory to ensure accurate system records and physical stock segregation.
    • Oversees the repacking of all FG salvage stock in accordance with established DPO standards and procedures.
    • Ensures obsolete stock is decanted and handled in line with approved policies, procedures, and operational standards.​

    Inventory Management

    • Conducts independent inventory counts of all Finished Goods (FG) inventory and reconciles results against SAP records.
    • Identifies, investigates, resolves, and reports inventory count variances to ensure inventory accuracy.
    • Escalates unresolved inventory discrepancies to the BLM, DCLM, and RLM, providing detailed commentary and corrective action plans.
    • Ensures all physical movements of FG inventory are accurately transacted and recorded in SAP.
    • Validates T1 and T2 inventory movements and packaging receipts against line counter records.
    • Verifies write-offs against approved and signed documentation, including gate sheets, before processing.
    • Ensures breakages, obsolete stock, and salvage inventory are appropriately approved, processed, and accurately reflected in SAP.
    • Reviews and resolves daily inventory controls and open T1 and T2 shipment transactions.
    • Processes claims within agreed timelines, ensuring supporting documentation is complete, approved, and reimbursement requirements are met.
    • Reviews, approves, and signs off POC and T2 driver route settlement corrections.
    • Monitors SCO Budget versus Actual (BUD vs ACT) costs, identifies variances, and develops corrective action plans to address gaps.

    Government and Risk Management

    • Conducts independent inventory counts of all Finished Goods (FG) inventory and reconciles results against SAP records.
    • Identifies, investigates, resolves, and reports inventory count variances to ensure inventory accuracy.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in finance, Engineering, Commercial, Supply Chain, Logistics or Sciences.
    • 2-3 years’ experience in a Stock Control environment.
    • MS Office proficiency.
    • Attention to detail.
    • High level of accuracy.
    • Ability to manage self.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Sound knowledge of the SAP R3 system.
    • Good verbal ability and communication skills.
    • High levels of Integrity and ethics.
