The Investment Advisor will play a crucial role in driving investment initiatives throughout the Eastern Cape Province.
The incumbent will be responsible for identifying and spearheading investment-related initiatives, programs, and projects aimed at attracting investments, while managing investor inquiries and facilitating the successful landing of projects within designated sectors.
Additionally, the Investment Advisor will facilitate investments in industry value chains, initiate and monitor investment agreements, and develop monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to assess the socioeconomic impact of investments.
The role includes providing investor aftercare services for fostering investment expansion and retention within the province, and maintaining an updated database of investor leads and stakeholder management will support these efforts. The advisor will also coordinate and lead outbound and inbound investment promotion missions, develop economic intelligence for informed decision-making, and ensure the functional coordination of activities related to administration, budgeting, procurement, and risk management to align with the ECDC mandate.
The role also entails functions relating to the management of the Eastern Cape Film Fund.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
A National Diploma in Commerce Development Studies or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years working experience of which 3 years must be in the investment or trade facilitation/promotions environment.
Knowledge and experience in the film industry will be an added advantage.
