    Investment Advisor

    • The Investment Advisor will play a crucial role in driving investment initiatives throughout the Eastern Cape Province.
    • The incumbent will be responsible for identifying and spearheading investment-related initiatives, programs, and projects aimed at attracting investments, while managing investor inquiries and facilitating the successful landing of projects within designated sectors.
    • Additionally, the Investment Advisor will facilitate investments in industry value chains, initiate and monitor investment agreements, and develop monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to assess the socioeconomic impact of investments.
    • The role includes providing investor aftercare services for fostering investment expansion and retention within the province, and maintaining an updated database of investor leads and stakeholder management will support these efforts. The advisor will also coordinate and lead outbound and inbound investment promotion missions, develop economic intelligence for informed decision-making, and ensure the functional coordination of activities related to administration, budgeting, procurement, and risk management to align with the ECDC mandate.
    • The role also entails functions relating to the management of the Eastern Cape Film Fund. 

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 

    • A National Diploma in Commerce Development Studies or a related field. 
    • A minimum of 5 years working experience of which 3 years must be in the investment or trade facilitation/promotions environment. 
    • Knowledge and experience in the film industry will be an added advantage.

    Assistant Accountant

    • Responsible for rendering technical support in general accounting function including preparing journals and reconciliations.
    • Maintains Cashbook, Creditors and Debtors subledger systems.
    • Prepares and processes journals and assists in general ledger reconciliation.
    • Processes all transactions into the system to ensure month-end procedures are done within scheduled timeframes.
    • Reviews and authorises banking prepared by cashier at Head Office before it is taken to the bank.
    • Ensures strict compliance with the policy by scrutinizing all travel and accommodation requests before processing them into the system.
    • The successful candidate will be responsible for the compilation of all the ECDC subsidiaries’ financial records.
    • Responds to Internal and External audit enquiries by explaining company procedures as informed by the policies. Systematically files all financial records according to the approved filing system.  

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 

    • National Diploma or equivalent in Accounting/Finance. 
    • A minimum of 3 years working experience of which 2 years must be in finance.

    ​Developmental Position: Property Coordinator Leasehold

    • The role’s primary responsibility is to oversee and manage all facets of the leasehold function within the designated portfolio of properties.
    • The role encompasses lease administration, rental collection, general leasehold, and property care, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
    • The responsibilities relating to lease administration include coordinating the drawing up of lease agreements in consultation with legal services, undertaking property inspections and attending to all tenant related matters associated with tenancy for the duration of the lease, performing regular property inspections as well as monitoring and management of timeous lease renewals.
    • The incumbent shall also be responsible for providing support relating to investment assets management, property insurance administration, maintenance and upkeep of the property portfolio allocated to the incumbent.  

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 

    • National diploma in real estate, commerce, or other relevant property management field. 
    • Minimum of two (2) years relevant working experience in property management, facilities management or relevant commerce environment.
