Investment Banker - Business Development to focus on driving of the origination of significant event driven mandated fee revenues deals across Investment Banking Division (IBD) products including:
M&A advisory
Capital market raisings across debt and equity including equity derivatives, structured equity
Bank debt raising
Risk solutions
With a key focus on the Consumer, Healthcare and Industrials sector.
The successful incumbent will focus on:
the acquisition of new clients and engagement with existing clients in terms of the IBD framework industry groups and sectors
developing industry and sector expertise and understanding
continuous client engagement to ensure ongoing strategic dialogue at the executive level to ensure front of mind positioning
the generation of ideas and opportunities in the sector, with a drive to crystallizing these into actionable transactions
the origination and formalizing of executable event driven mandates for core IBD products with new and existing clients particularly in the advisory, capital markets and event lending product areas
cross selling of CIB Products where possible
overall thought leadership in the sector
working together with Product, Client Coverage and other IBD teams identify strategic new IBD opportunities.
Suited to candidate with Hons/Post Grad degree and 7+ years’ experience in the Investment Banking environment with at least 5 years in corporate finance, M&A, advisory or capital markets. Must have demonstrable board/C-Suite/Senior Executive level relationships with clients and ability to work alongside other Product and Client Coverage teams.
Exceptional deal origination and execution capabilities required with a track record across IBD products and an emphasis on deal track record in corporate finance, M&A, advisory or capital markets. Relevant sector and industry understanding secures.
