    Marketing Associate

    Key Purpose

    • To assist in building, maintaining and developing Broker relationships and enhancing the image of Discovery and Corporate EB. To support the Corporate Business Consultants with all sales and marketing initiatives.

    Areas of responsibility may include but not limited to

    • To render and load quotations on the Quoting system with accuracy (less than 5%, or other quality standard set from time to time, error rate)
    • To liaise with Brokers and their New Business Administrative teams on a regular basis (telephonically and via face-to-face, external meetings)
    • To adhere to all relevant Key Performance Indicators and Service Level Agreements and related requirements relating to new business quotations
    • To as soon as practicably possible, escalate any problematic quotes to the Business Consultant for joint resolution
    • To link brokers to the quoting system as well as log system tickets to link brokers
    • Needs to support the BC in broker communications and quote distribution
    • To promote the brand of Discovery, by always being professional, proactive, innovative and driving quality
    • To ensure that escalated new business queries from the broker are attended to satisfactorily (outside of normal escalation channels)
    • Need to support the BC to manage the new business pipeline, to identify trends and to provide all necessary administrative support to actively increase business activations and to achieve new business targets.
    • Required to manage new business quotation tracking and record keeping.
    • To assist in the facilitation of corporate marketing events e.g. handling invites / RSVPs etc for road shows, training, and other marketing events.
    • Required to assist BC with training of new employer groups and/or members joining Discovery Corporate and Employee Benefits

    Areas of responsibility may include but are not limited to

    Vision, Ownership & Delivery

    • Involved in the end-to-end product lifecycle - from idea, research, and design through build, launch, and iteration.

    • Guide multi-disciplinary teams of engineers, designers, and data scientists to deliver exceptional, behavior-changing products.

    • Collaborate with behavioral scientists and the Head of Data Science to bring AI-driven personalization and adaptive coaching to life.
    • Turn research into reality - shaping product experiences that motivate, reward, and retain users.

    Cross-Functional Leadership

    • Drive collaboration across Engineering, Design, Data Science, Customer Success & Operations to deliver value seamlessly.
    • Inspire creativity within the team - pushing for elegant solutions and meaningful user experiences.
    • Partner with enterprise and pilot customers, ensuring product iterations are informed by real-world impact.
    • Act as the unifying voice across disciplines - connecting insights, execution, and delivery into one cohesive product story.

    Execution & Iteration

    • Lead requirements definition, sprint planning, and release management with precision and urgency.Move fast - deliver MVPs, test, learn, and scale what works.
    • Maintain a high standard of quality while constantly iterating to improve engagement, usability, and ROI.
    • Work closely with the Data Science team to measure success and continuously optimize performance

    Education and Experience

    Education:

    • Matric (Essential)
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Science, Engineering, Actuarial, or a related field.
    • Postgraduate studies or certifications in Product Management, UX, or Behavioral Science  - advantageous.

     Minimum Experience: 

    • 5+ years in Product Management or Product Leadership, ideally in data-driven, behavior-change, or health-tech environments.
    • Proven track record of owning products end-to-end - from research and definition to launch and iteration.
    • Strong experience working in cross-functional teams of engineers, designers, and data scientists.

    DC -Client Engagement Consultant- 1DP Sandton

    Job Description

    • The Client Engagement Consultant is responsible for welcoming new clients that have joined the Discovery Bank through Discovery Connect. The consultant will make outbound calls to new joiners to provide the client with more information about the banks products and rewards, help clients navigate the app and assist them with any additional queries. The consultant will be required to position an upsell Bank products to new clients that meet the upsell criteria. . The consultant will be required to co-ordinate their own administration and maintain accurate details and statistics of all queries, the role requires employees to be permanently based at the office.

    Key Purpose

    • The key purpose for the consultant is to drive client engagement on the bank product by conducting welcome calls and conservation calls during which they will service any client queries, help the client navigate the bank offering and ensuring that the client is on the correct product based on the client profile

    Key Outcomes may include but are not limited to:

    • Perform outbound calls to new clients joining the bank.
    • Perform outbound calls to existing client wanting to close their account.
    • Communication to members telephonically and via email.
    • Position an upsell to clients that meet the criteria.
    • Keep accurate statistics of all welcome and conservation calls.
    • Attending to general administration requirements of the client.
    • Attends to requests from management.
    • Escalate and follow up on any queries the team are unable to assist with.
    • Ensures that current service level agreements are met.
    • Achieve Quality targets set out in as per the DCDS QA criteria requirements

    Work Experience Requirements:

    • 3 years customer service experience within the service environment
    • 2 years sales experience

    Education / Qualifications / Accreditations with Professional Body Required:

    • Grade 12
    • FAIS Accredited qualification - Preferred (would be advantageous)
