    IR Manager | Managed People Solutions | Johannesburg | Gauteng

    Duties and responsibilities

    • Provide the full IR function to the business
    • Ensure all IR / HR policies are complied with and draft or amend policies as necessary
    • Represent the company at the CCMA
    • Train line management in aspects of IR
    • Provide advice and recommendations to the business on IR matters
    • Provide monthly IR reports
    • Keep the business up to date on amendments regarding labour related matters
    • Facilitate all disciplinary procedures
    • Ensure proper investigation of all alleged misconduct
    • Ensure that appropriate disciplinary action is taken
    • Assist and facilitate disciplinary hearings
    • Chair hearings and act as the IR Representative
    • Ensure that the correct IR processes are followed within the business
    • Assist with the issuing of sanctions in accordance with policies
    • Draft and amend any agreement that may be required, such as settlement agreements, retrenchment agreements and mutual separation agreements
    • Ensure that all IR matters raised are handled timeously

    Qualifications and experience

    • Minimum 5 years experience in an IR management role
    • Degree in Human Resources specialising in Labour Relations or LLB Degree (admitted attorney is advantageous)
    • Valid drivers license
    • Experience attending CCMA cases
    • Extensive knowledge of labour legislation - BCEA, LRA, EEA etc
    • Sound knowledge of HR best practices
    • Strong communication, mediation, and conflict resolution skills
