IT Audit Manager at BDO South Africa

The incumbent will be reporting to the Associate Director of Technology Advisory. The position, includes inter alia the ability to contribute to best practices and principles around the effective design of controls and implementation thereof to ensure the accuracy, integrity and confidentiality of data. This requires the individual to be knowledgeable in the design and monitoring of controls systems as well as reviewing an organization’s computing environment and the use of their computer facilities.

The key roles of this position are the Daily Management of projects and people within the Integrated Technology Advisory Department, assist in Growing the Fee Base, control WIP and Manage Debtors and will be responsible for the following key activities to achieve the main objectives:

The individual will provide both BDO and user management with expert opinions about the reliability of results and operations of computer systems. It is essential that the individual should be able to understand both the accounting and information technology implications of the computer systems.

Some other duties include:

• Perform and manage general and application control audits as his/her core function.
• Managing Client Relationships
• Planning of Audit Projects
• Managing the resources and the WIP
• Manage the day-to-day activities of any assignment ( from execution to reporting)
• Attend Audit Committees

Qualification Requirements:

• B.Com Degree
• Honours is preferable
• CISA registered
• CRISC would be advantageous

Experience Requirements:

• 5-8 years IT audit experience
• 3-5 years managerial experience
• Ability to perform CAATs
