Key responsibilities

• Documentation and flowcharting of business processes and systems.
• Software application designing, building, or maintaining.
• Using scripting or authoring languages, management tools, content creation tools, applications, and digital media.
• Conferring with the teams to resolve conflicts, prioritize needs, develop content criteria, or choose solutions.
• Directing or performing Website updates.
• Developing or validating test routines and schedules to ensure that test cases mimic external interfaces and address all browser and device types.
• Editing, writing, or designing Website content, and directing team members who produce content.
• Attends and participate in kick-off meetings and wrap up meetings as and when requested.
• Maintaining an understanding of the latest Web applications and programming practices through education, study, and participation in conferences, workshops, and groups.
• Back up files from Websites to local directories for recovery.
• Identifying problems uncovered by customer feedback and testing and correcting or referring problems to appropriate personnel for correction.
• Evaluating code to ensure it meets industry standards, is valid, is properly structured, and is compatible with browsers, devices, or operating systems.
• Determining user needs by analyzing technical requirements.
• Responsible for deliverables and feedback to Senior Data Analysts and Managers

• Relevant IT Degree / Diploma / BCom with information systems/BSC Computer Science, majors/interest in Web Development.

• Bachelor's degree in Web development or related field, or relevant experience.
• Good grasp on developing User interfaces
• Solid knowledge and experience in programming applications.
• Proficient in JavaScript, Python, HTML, CSS, some expertise in languages like JavaScript-(Node.js), Ruby, Java, or PHP is valuable.
• Front-End Development: Strong skills in front-end technologies and frameworks like React, Angular, Vue.js, Django or other popular libraries. Understanding of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility is important.
• Version Control: Familiarity with version control systems like Git to manage code changes collaboratively.
• Database Management: Proficiency in working with databases, both SQL (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Firebase).
• Back-End Development: Experience in building and maintaining server-side applications and databases. Knowledge of back-end frameworks such as Express.js (for Node.js), Flask/Django (for Python), Ruby on Rails, or similar.
• Portfolio or Previous Projects: If possible, request a portfolio or examples of their previous work to assess their skills and code quality.
• API Development and Integration: Ability to design, develop, and consume RESTful APIs. Experience with integrating third-party APIs into applications.
