    IT Change Manager

    Job Description

    • Purpose of the Job: The Change Manager is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of change across both IT systems and business processes are managed in a structured, controlled, and people-centric manner.
    • This role bridges the gap between technical change and business transformation by planning, coordinating, and implementing change initiatives that enable successful adoption with minimal disruption.
    • The incumbent will drive change strategies, ensure alignment with organisational goals, manage stakeholder expectations, and support affected users through the change lifecycle.
    • This includes oversight of IT system releases, process redesign, organisational changes, and cultural shifts necessary to realise full benefits from strategic initiatives.

    Change Planning and Execution

    • Develop change management plans (communication, training, engagement).
    • Integrate change plans with project delivery schedules.
    • Customise strategy based on change impact and organisational readiness.

    IT Change Governance

    • Change calendar management
    • Conflict and dependency identification
    • Support change request process
    • Implement change control governance to ensure compliance and audit readiness

    Stakeholder Engagement and Satisfaction

    • Conduct stakeholder analyses and engagement mapping.
    • Maintain regular, tailored communication with stakeholder groups.
    • Facilitate feedback loops and act on concerns.

    Training Effectiveness

    • Conduct training needs analysis.
    • Design or coordinate training sessions and materials.
    • Support development of templates, user guides, quick reference tools, and FAQs.

    Business Readiness and User Adoption

    • Conduct business readiness assessments.
    • Drive readiness checkpoints and go-live planning sessions.
    • Support super users and champions pre- and post-launch.

    Continuous Improvement

    • Conduct post-implementation reviews and adoption checks.
    • Collaborate with business leads to monitor performance improvements.
    • Embed change practices into standard operating procedures.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Organisational Development, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • Change Management certification preferred (e.g., Prosci, APMG Change Management, ADKAR).
    • Project Management certification is a plus (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, SAFe).
    • 5+ years of experience in change management, with at least 3 years focused on IT or technology-enabled projects.
    • Proven experience in business transformation or ERP/system implementations (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft).
    • Familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall delivery environments.
    • Experience working with cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams.

    Competencies Required

    • Excellent planning and organisational skills.
    • Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation capabilities.
    • Proficiency in tools like MS Office, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and change management platforms.
    • Deep understanding of change management frameworks (e.g. ADKAR, Kotter).
    • Familiarity with IT project lifecycles, SDLC, and system deployment strategies.
    • Understanding of ITIL change control processes.
    • Empathetic and people-focused.
    • Resilient and adaptable in dynamic environments.
    • Confident decision-maker and problem solver.
    • Collaborative, with the ability to influence at all levels.
