Job Purpose and Role

The IoDSA is a small to medium sized non-profit company, operating in the professional body space. We work in a dynamic high performance environment with limited resources and a fairly flat organogram structure. We are looking for an experienced individual to join our senior management team to project manage and oversee all aspects relating to our IT and digital landscape.

As the IoDSA grows and evolves in the digital space, we have identified the need for this role to enable better management, integration and value add/efficiency to the business. We are looking for someone with an understanding of IT infrastructure and a keen interest in IT systems and solutions, and who will be hands on (as there are no staff reporting into this position).

Key responsibilities and duties

• Liaison with outsourced service provider on IT hardware and security
• IT risk management and mitigation
• IT and Data security management/oversight
• Ownership of IT policies and procedures
• Software management including planning and rolling out upgrades and new technology.
• Assistance with automation of internal and/or external facing processes
• Input into business innovation and operations through the use of technology
• SLA management with service providers
• System integration within the business
• Day-to-day IT support and providing technology solutions to meet business needs

Qualifications, experience and skills

• Relevant IT qualification NQF 6 or above 
• Professional designation preferred
• Skills/experience in digital transformation will be an advantage
• A coding background will be an advantage
• At least 5 years relevant experience in overseeing the listed areas of responsibility
